I love that socks always fit. Cast on 64 stitches on a size 1 needle and I am good to go. My body might change shape but my feet don’t.

I am more of a process knitter myself, always having at least three different projects going and shifting between them as I feel the need. When I do need a diversion project though, it is usually a shawl of some kind, often a lace pattern, and lace weight yarn, I love those kinds of textures.

Socks, socks, socks. I have been knitting them since I was a young teenager--for any male who would let me including family members and others. They are always my go to for traveling. I and almost 84 and still, thankfully, doing well. Much gratitude

Thank you for your thoughtful emails, I feel nurtured rather than pressured/inspired to buy more product. I find my memory (mitered squares) blanket a most soothing knit, I love watching each square of leftover yarn blend into the next one.

I am horrible when it comes to frogging something or admitting it’s not going the way I want it to. I actually have a cotton cardigan that is just sitting in a drawer waiting to be frogged, but I just can’t do it.

For me, it’s cowls cowls cowls. Minimal finishing, easy styling, great to haul around wherever I go.

Socks are my Linus security blanket that go with me everywhere.

I also learned a new thing from my sister and crochet baby blankets . So they are a close second

My comfort knitting is Stjärna--perfect little stars that I stash away throughout the year to adorn holiday gifts or sling around a wine bottle neck as a host gift (though of course, there's been way less of the latter the last few years).

Good counsel! I wish I loved sock knitting like you do but for me it's hats. Lots of hats.
